Mr. Attitude Leads PW OB to Victory Location: Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, PA Showing surprising depth of talent, the P-W Old Boys gave new team organizer Matt Hull his first over-35 victory in the red and blue. Former Super League flyhalf Pete Kilo Karmilowicz now a father of two put down P-Ws first try in the fifth minute following several phases that took P-W 50 meters down the field. Karmilowicz, playing inside center, missed the convertion and the score stood 5-0. Wilmington came back with a try of its own in the 17th minute on a long break into the corner. The convertion failed and the game was deadlocked at 5. It wasnt until the final minute of the first half that P-W would go ahead for good. Having pushed Wilmington deep into its own end, P-W sucked in the opposing forwards before moving the ball to flanker John Flamish, who winged it out to longtime A-side teammate Keith Mr. Attitude McLean. The big number 8 had worked his way out to the wing and took advantage of the overlap to put down a try, giving P-W the12-5 lead following Karmilowiczs convertion. The second half was all Philadelphia-Whitemarsh. Winger Ed Logue made the long drive from Ocean City worthwhile by putting down a try in the 11th minute of the second half. With Karmilowicz out of the game, Stephen Siano made the conversion kick from the corner. P-W went ahead 19-5. Ten minutes later the Flamish-McLean tandem struck again. With Wilmington pinned deep in its own end, McLean blocked an attempt at a clearing kick and Flamish scooped up the loose ball, made for the corner and put down his trademark diving try. The lead went to 24-5. McLean, ever the do-it-yourselfer, capped the scoring with two minutes left when he picked up off the base of a scrum and rambled in for his second try on the day. Karmilowicz, who apparently spends more time lately changing diapers than practicing his kicking, missed the final convertion attempt. The final score was 29-5.
