2008 USA Rugby Sevens (7s)

The 2008 USA Sevens is right around the corner. Sixteen of the top sevens national teams will be competing at this year's tournament to be held February 9-10 in San Diego's Petco Park, home of baseball's Padres.

The photos are from the PW boys who attended the 2007 event. The USA 7s team, coached by Philly Whitemarsh 7s specialist Al Caravelli, won some hardware last year. We are looking for more of the same in 2008.

This beautiful downtown ballpark, its proximity to San Diego's Gaslamp District and adjoining Park in the Park help create a truly memorable experience.

PWRFC has teamed the largest professional rugby event in North America, showcasing two days of non-stop electrifying rugby, with an international fan festival at Park in the Park and a weekend of endless entertainment. Also, USA Sevens will be hosting the San Diego Invitational, a two-day slate of rugby matches played by club, college, youth, women's, and masters teams from across the country. If anyone from PWRFC is up to the challenge, they'd love to have us compete!

Regarding ticket, hospitality and suite options, there are various opportunities as we discussed.

Depending on the size of your group, you may be interested in one single option below, or possibly a mixture of seating options such as one suite plus extra seats in the Club Level, so that guests may go back and forth between the two areas.

Details of Individual Options include:

1. Private Suite – normally only for sponsors, but as we discussed, I have 2 unexpectedly available presently. Very limited availability.
a. $10,000 per suite, for both days, plus catering
b. Accommodates 26 people each day
2. Garden Terraces –Private group hospitality area, located right next to the festival with a sideline position to the field of play - Limited availability remaining (photo attached, including birds eye view which shows proximity to the festival. The park behind the terraces is where the festival will be located) Please note, there are several people presently looking at the Terraces, so if you think this is your preferred option, let me know as soon a possible.
a. Perfect spot for private entertaining while being right in the heart of the action.
b. Terrace 1 – capacity 30 people each day - $6000.00 total for both days, excluding any catering costs
c. Terrace 2 - capacity 36 people each day - $7200.00 total for both days, excluding any catering costs
3. Club Level - Premium seating section designed specifically for group entertaining and business networking. Sideline views of field, with options for hospitality options for each group. For groups of 15+, can have a specific designated seating area.
a. Club Level 3 – Premium seating
One day - $90 per person/ Two Day - $180
b. Club Level 2 – Premium seating plus buffet lunch and two drinks, per day
One day - $130 per person/ Two Day - $250
c. Club Level 1 – Premium seating with upgraded lunch and six drinks, per day
One day - $215 per person/ Two Day - $400
