Learn To Play One of the World’s Most Popular Sports!
On Saturday, July 28 a free Youth Rugby clinic for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 15 will be offered at the Stone Harbor Recreation Center, 80th St. and Dune Drive.
No experience is necessary. Participants will learn the basics of rugby from veteran instructors in a well-supervised, safe environment. They will also have the opportunity to compete in flag rugby as well as watch some high level men’s and high school rugby on the adjacent field.
The clinic, presented by the Philadelphia-Whitemarsh Rugby Football Club and Play Rugby USA, Inc, will coincide with the annual Surfside Sevens rugby tournament. The tournament draws top men’s rugby clubs from across the Mid-Atlantic and is one of the premier summer rugby tournaments in the United States.
Come learn about this exciting sport as fans around the world prepare for the Rugby World Cup in France, starting this September!
