PW rugby players mingled nicely with the elite in attendence at the party of Mr. Attitude.

Under clear starry skies on a beautifully cool evening, friends, family and neighbors of PW rugby legend R. Keith McLean gathered for what turned out to be a ‘kick-ass’ party. Tens of PW rugby players of Keith mingled in the exclusive guests that included the Slaymakers from down the street.

‘All had a very enjoyable time and it was nice to have every one out,’ commented McLean. ‘All the food was once again consumed and we even needed to make a late night beer run. That’s the first time we’ve done that’, said the McLean, after hosting the annual event for the seventh time.

The fireworks went off without a glitch despite a no-show by Rocket Man. ‘Pyro-Tech Man did a great job on his own, as Puddin Head Man filled in nicely in a backup role’, commented a proud McLean. ‘Nothing burnt down.’

The catering by Henry and the Neapolitan Deli was once again superb, with the ever-popular six-foot hoagies once again dominating the guests’ food platters. Anita McLean drew a huge crowd around the desert table with her mouth-watering cookies. All this reporter can say is WOW! Thanks Henry and Anita and to my wife Amy thanks for that belly rub on Sunday morning!

The band kicked butt and what more would you expect with a name like ‘Suck Her Punch’.

A blast was had by all!

As we finished up the beer, salads and cookies late night, it was Keith’s comment of missing Lex and Mel that brought a tear to our eyes. Mel and Lex have been honeymooning at the mystical island of Atlantis after last weekend’s very rugby wedding. Atlantis … where all true rugby player should go at least once. Right Emilio! Lex, of course, is known for his come late – stay late party attitude.

Finally, as I write, Keith’s dogs are still feeling the effects of the bash. Wolf hangovers – it’s not pretty. Notice how we kept Shay up late in the pictures below.
