1988 was again a year with little written record of club history. The EPRU 1st division was again won, with Mark Caron as captain, but the club again came up short in the Mid-Atlantic's. The spring of 1988 saw Loughborough from England arrive on tour. The Club lost to this side in the Championship of the Media RFC Tournament, but beat them the following week in Fairmount Park. The Club did have a successful sevens season, winning the Albany and Bethlehem sevens Tournaments, but came up short a few points of making the National sevens Championship. 1989 brought Eagles 7's trials for Marcus Maffei and Mike Siano. Scott Brooks, Tom Trojian, and Harry Johnston were selected for the ERU Juniors with Mike Siano and Rob Farley being selected for the ERU Seniors.
