On Friday March 29th we are having a welcome happy hour at the new McFadden's Pub on 3rd street in Philly from 6pm to 9pm in a private bar room. Both clubs and friends will receive free entry to McFadden's and a wrist band for our private room. All PW Active, Old Boys & Social members, wives and friends are welcome. With the wrist band we will have drink specials from 6 to 9pm served in the private bar room. This is at no cost to our club. see photos
This Friday event and the Tuesday Game & and Post party at the club house are the only two events associated with this tour. Neil Carter of Bargoed writes: I can confirm we are very happy with the game on Tuesday and look forward to meeting up with you all.
The Drink Specials:
$2 Special, no cover . $2 beer bottles, wine, pint drafts and drinks with one liquor (ie.- captain and coke, absolut and tonic, etc) It is a very good deal. Shots are not included. Top shelf liquors like grey goose will not be included nor will red bull drinks. They may have me charge $3 for Guiness, hopefully not.
On Fridays they always have a person outside collecting $10 for their open bar happy hour, which is 5 pm to 7 pm. People for your party will need to know not to pay this and notify the collector they are with the Rugby party in the back bar. They will not be charged.
Bargoed RFC Tour Itinerary:
Thursday 28th March
Meet at Bargoed RFC at 4.00 a.m. for final checks, leaving for Birmingham at 4.30 a.m.
Flight out of Birmingham at 9.20 a.m. to arrive in New York JFK at 14.30 U.S. time
Travel to Philadelphia which is an approximate journey time of 2 hours, to meet up with South Jersey representatives to begin the Tour.
Friday 29th March
A function has been arranged with South Jersey and the Cherry Hill's Mayor in Cherry Hill at approximately 11.00 a.m.
In the afternoon a walking tour of Old Philadelphia has been arranged for around 1.00 p.m. which incorporates a number of Pubs.
Evening: McFadden's Pub 6 pm to 9 pm with Philadelphia-Whitemarsh
Saturday 30th March
A 1st Team game with South Jersey is arranged for 1.00 p.m., the 2nd Team following on.
Leave the Hotel at 11.00 a.m. to meet up in the evening when a function has been arranged with South Jersey at their Clubhouse.
Sunday 31st March
Morning Team Bonding ? Day of Leisure.
Monday 1st April
An excursion to Atlantic City has been arranged, the bus will leave the Hotel at 1.00 p.m., for a full day and night in Atlantic City.
Tuesday 2nd April
The morning is at leisure, the bus will leave the Hotel at 2.00 p.m. for a kick off at 4.00 p.m. with Philadelphia-Whitemarsh
Philadelphia Whitemarsh clubhouse function in the evening.
Wednesday 3rd April
Travel back to New York, the bus will leave the Hotel at 9.30 a.m.
Full day of leisure in New York with an overnight stay in the Comfort Inn, Manhattan.
Thursday 4th April
Morning of leisure in New York.
The bus will leave the Hotel at 15.30 for flight back to Birmingham at approximately 6.00 p.m.
Friday 5th April
Arrive back Birmingham (approx. 9.00 am)
Travel back to Bargoed (arrive 11.00 am)
