Army comes into the match riding a six-game undefeated streak while Navy recently topped 8th-ranked Penn State.
In 2002 the inaugural Army-Navy rugby classic, Navy went down by 17 at the half, then roared back to win 38-17.
Last year, in front of an estimated crowd of 4,000, the two National Championship contenders slugged-away to wild 17-17 tie.
This year’s match kicks off at 1 p.m.
The battleground will change, but the combatants promise to be as fierce as ever when the West Point and Navel Academy rugby clubs square-off Nov. 20 for Army-Navy III. The Battle Continues!
After filling Conshohocken’s A.A. Garthwaite stadium to capacity the past two years, event organizer Philadelphia-Whitemarsh Rugby Football Club has moved the Army-Navy match to Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA.
